Dr. Shivanand Hulyalkar has spent more than a decade inside the machinery of the Indian National Congress — first as National Media Coordinator from 2014, and since May 2022 as a National Spokesperson, arguing the party’s case on television, in print, and in public debate.
As Election Strategist and Election In-Charge, that argument moves from the studio to the ground: strategy, booth-level coordination, and the unglamorous work of turning a message into a mandate.
Away from the podium, he builds. Managing Director of the Kalpataru Group, Owner of Sivaan Aviation, Founder of the Lakshmibai Welfare Foundation, and an Advisory Board member for the Asia Region of the International Wheelchair Cricket Council.
The media room taught the discipline the podium demands: know the brief, know the counter-argument, and answer the question that was actually asked. Twelve years of coordinating the party’s national media response is twelve years of watching how an argument survives contact with a live studio.
Maharashtra remains the constituency of the work — its language, its districts, its grievances. Speaking in Marathi on national television is not a flourish; it is the point.
