The Lakshmibai Welfare Foundation was established in 2016 and carries his family’s name. Dr. Shivanand Hulyalkar is its Founder.
The foundation works on community support and social welfare programmes across Maharashtra — the kind of work that does not make a news cycle but shows up in a household’s month: help with medical costs, educational support, and assistance at moments when a family has no other place to turn.
It was set up to outlast any single term of office. Welfare work continues whether or not there is an election on.
